Benjamin is a better gardener than I am 😂
I would love an update on the seeds!
Thank you for a great video! Would the process be the same for me in zone 9b my blueberries never lost there leaves. We don’t get cold enough?
I'm growing my 1st blueberries this year. I'm in TN zone 7. Glad that know I know how to prune. What would be a good strawberry to plant around the base? I'm growing in large pots.
Lol.. i swear ive told my son to go spear the grass at one time. 😁
I absolutely loved your tips about where to prune the plants! Thank you so much for this content. I love your channel so, so much
I garden in a zone 8a and I have some Bushel & Berry plants. My blueberry has started flowering. Could I still prune or is it too later?
I must say that I LOVE watching your 2 cats, Cheddar & Russell, interact with you in the garden!! They make me smile & laugh! I can't tell them apart, but loved seeing Russell (?) in the blueberry bed just looking for attention :o) Several times I have seen them in the background when you are talking & they are doing such funny antics! I just adore seeing them in your videos! They are such special cats with fun & funny personalities. More cat interactions please :o) Bless you & your sweet, hardworking family! You have the BEST content & I love how Laura, Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha Grace, Russell & Cheddar all work together to create the very best gardening channel! Blessings from Laura in Orange, CA. – Zone 10 A/B
Hope you will include us on your fruit tree pruning as they grow. I havent gotten blueberries to grow, but appreciate the info!
Hi Laura, have you ever rooted your older prune off (is that the right term?)
When is the best time to transplant?
And just like that blueberry sales went up! Great explanation!
Pruning questions! Would these pruning rules apply to raspberries as well? I can’t seem to figure out when is the best time to prune my raspberry bushes
Thank you, very helpful!
I need help. Just watched the blueberry pruning video. In there you talk about chill hours, which applies to fruiting trees and bushes. I am in zone 9a. (Winter 20F – 30F). Your winter is colder than mine, but we have about the same summer weather. My question is: “ Does non-fruiting trees need certain amount of chili hours, too? If not, how come I can’t grow arborvitae in my zone?”
thank you! I've never pruned my blueberries, but now I will. 🙂
The close-up look at the branches is very helpful. Thank you Laura!
Laura, I was thinking of starting blueberries for my grandkids. Are the galvanized containers open at the bottom so the plants potentially could reach the natural soil? I was thinking if using a galvanized horse watering trough, would that work?
Where are the green bags from, they’re perfect?!
It's a brighter dream fo me 🤩 is so beautiful ❤️
Thank you for your pruning video. It cleared up a lot of confusion. What did ou sprinkle on top of your seeds?
You've inspired me to try to grow some blueberries this season! Just ordered myself some blueberry seeds on Etsy! Can't wait 😍
Do you prune your Honeyberry bushes like you do the blueberries? I bought two last fall and am eager to see them grow and produce yummy berries! Did yours survive winter?
Aw bless Benjamin's heart helping , he's a cutie too
Thx for another great and informative video, and just have to say you are a pretty young lady . I'll be 60 next month and always wanted to add blueberries to my property and I'm finally going to this year, so I really appreciate this video ♡
Thanks for showing this!! It seems like pruning the blueberries follows similar rules for pruning as my crepe myrtle, or multi trunk lilac. Snipping “suckers”, competing branches, and taking a little “off the top”!?! I so appreciate you and all the things you think to share with us. I have always been interested in gardening, but never knew what I was doing. So I consistently was getting inconsistent results with my projects. I came across your channel about a year and a half ago when I was looking for help with my hostas. I have learned so much from your videos. (I too am a visual learner!) you have helped me take my garden from surviving to thriving!! Thank you so much!!
Has anyone grown Elizabeth or Elliott blueberries? Do early blueberries do well in areas with late last frost dates?
This is such a helpful video! cutting back and getting everything ready for the season is something I seriously struggle with and makes me nervous. We read and hear about it, but seeing it in video form is really helpful. End of winter early spring garden instruction is so helpful, even if its not all beautiful and green, because it sets us all up for a great season ahead! without handicapping our plants before they get the chance to flourish that year. especially since like new and old growth cutting can make a difference! thank you for taking the time to make this type of video laura
We have my late grandmother's property and her row of blueberries. They haven't been pruned in AT LEAST 6 years. They are 8+feet tall and produce tons every year. So much so that, if the birds are helping themselves, I never notice. I kind of like that the wildlife has a place to forage here, though.
Awesome!! Info is right in time for my blueberry bush. I have a ton of buds at the moment.

Love your cut flower shed it is going to be so pretty when it is finished
Can you do a video on Strawberries? I have a bed of Quinalts and I'm just doing something wrong. Last year I only got a few berries and have a couple dozen plants in the bed. Do they only bear fruit for a couple of years? Help!!
I had some blueberry plants at one time I never had much Luck growing them of course I love blueberry's I wish I had room to grow them In the ground I have a big container I could use maybe I well try that I guess seeing you trim yours kind of got me back Into growing them again
Don’t forget to fertilize and top dress blueberries 🫐 and strawberries 🍓 🙂
This was such good information about blueberries! I got 2 top hat seedlings by mail 2 weeks ago. They were doing excellent at first but the instructions said to keep them in the shade. They are now having browning leaves and some leaves died and dropped off. I see yours are in full sun so think I'll do that too. I hope they survive and grow so I have an opportunity to prune next year. If you have fig trees it'd be great to have a pruning lesson on those too not to mention citrus trees. Thanks Laura.
Thank you so much for sharing how to prune the blueberries!
I haven’t grown blueberries yet, but definitely planning to grow some in the future. So I’m sure I’ll watch this again to take tips and notes 📝
Hey Laura do you still have russell cat tree stand you made him. Your video from 4 years ago came up in my memory feed ..anyone else remebee that video
Bergamont is my FAVORITE!! it’s so pretty!
I’m SOO excited to see this space this year! Ugh.. come on spring ♥️♥️
I planted two blueberry plants sis by side four years ago. I have seen slow growth but never any fruit. What can be the failure?
